Please accept Bedfordshire police thanks for your participation in the Beds shoot today. A number of shooters said some great things about the shoot, but we are already planning some new ideas for 2012.
Eventually there were 96 police and guests that undertook the course of fire and I am glad to inform you that Neil March (Met) stole the show on 93, with Steve Csehi next in the frame on 87. The Ladies winner was Jean Watson (Cambs) with 74 and the Guest top spot was taken on the last squad out by Dave Morgan.
In the team event, Devon & Cornwall were leading for a long time on 377, but Leicestershire came ‘en masse’ and were looking good for the team prizes on 403, until right at the end. Last year they did the same and celebrated in style with cut crystal wine glasses and a slug of good red wine. Lincolnshire did it again today and as last Police squad back to the clubhouse, posted a 412 to win team honours.
Our thanks also go to Sporting Targets for their kind prize, Northampton Shooting Ground for their response to the downpour on Thursday/Friday (causing 2 stands to be completely removed and a total of 5 stands changed) and my dear wife Jane for her support with scoring and very fast results.
Hope to see you next year for another great shoot, which will be squadded agian and no queuing at each stand!
Best regards
Bob Meadows
